Who Can Submit A Listing?
The Local Tourist is happy to accept a submission to list your site
if your organisation or enterprise is leisure-related
or sells or provides leisure-related
goods or services. If in doubt have a look at the main
concepts on our home page. Identify what is closest to your
area (there may be more than one) then check out the categories
under each concept.
Leisure is a pretty broad brush and we will consider all submissions.
However we will not list or promote adult-oriented or prurient sites.
In any event we reserve the right to make the final decision.
Types of Listings
There are three types of listings 1)Basic, 2) Priority Two, and
3)Priority One. Here we will only be dealing with Basic Listings.

The Submission Process
- When sites are submitted (using the listing
submission form) we promptly process your request. If
accepted, we send you a statement/invoice confirming your
listing
details, and a list of payment options.
- Upon receipt of payment for your listing we add your site to
our database, classify your site in one or more categories and
put your listing on the web at our weekly site update. (nb
You're encouraged to categorise yourself on our submission
form, though we reserve the right to decide.)
- We notify you of both your listing period (i.e. start and end
dates) and the category or categories your site is classified
under.
- We list you on our site under your chosen or assigned category
(or categories) according to our listings hierarchy. (See below.)
Points to Note:
. If you believe yourself to be wrongly classified or that you
qualify for more than one category please let us know.
. You pay only for the first category of a particular site listing.
Any other categories are free.
. Please inform us promptly of any typos or incorrect or changed
information.
The Listings Hierarchy
Listings are ranked, under their respective categories, in the following
order:
- (i.e. at the very top) Priority 1 Listings with links to web
sites, sorted alphabetically nb Listings without links
to web sites always follow those with a link in their priority
rating
- Priority 2 listings with links to web sites, sorted alphabetically.
- Basic Listings with links to web sites, sorted alphabetically.
- Basic Listings without links to web sites, sorted alphabetically.
